The Resolve utility allows you to resolve numeric IP addresses back to their corresponding DNS address, and vice versa.
For
example, if we want to resolve www.diamondcs.com.au,
enter that address in the Host field, then press Enter
on your keyboard or press the Resolve Host button
with your mousecursor.
The result: www.diamondcs.com.au
resolves to 202.6.126.12, and the country was
correctly determined to be Australia, which is geographically highlighted on the
world map in the Resolve utility window.
In the reverse case, if we only know the IP address (202.6.126.12) and want to resolve that, enter that address in the IP Address field and press Enter on your keyboard or press the Resolve IP button with your mousecursor.
